Charlotte Home Educators Association (CHEA) is made up of the local support groups in the Charlotte area. Each member group is responsible for providing an activity or service to all the CHEA member groups. In addition, CHEA publishes a quarterly newsletter containing information of interest to homeschoolers in the Charlotte area. Individual groups also either publish a monthly newsletter or post announcements online for their members.
